Apple Pay ranks among the most used mobile payment services in the world. Apple’s payment service is now accepted at millions of retail stores and financial institutions worldwide. Apple has been expanding Apple Pay for years in an attempt to boost user adoption.
When you first set up Apple Pay on your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch, you need to add your credit card details so you can make your purchases at retail stores. With Apple Pay, you can add more than one credit card to your iPhone. This comes in handy, especially for those who want to use multiple credit cards at different stores.
In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to add a new credit card or debit card to Apple Pay on your iPhone. Before we begin, make sure you now have a modern version of iOS.
How to add a new credit card or debit card to Apple Pay on your iPhone
Step one: First off, launch the Settings app from your home screen. Scroll down a little bit and then select Wallet & Apple Pay to proceed
Step two: On the next screen, hit Add Credit or Debit Card at the top. After that, open the viewfinder on your iPhone to capture your card details (alternatively, you can enter your card details manually by tapping the Enter Card Details Manually option at the bottom)
Step three: Once you are done, hit Next at the top right corner of the screen and then agree to terms and conditions before proceeding
Step four: On the next screen, select how you want to verify your card (Text Message or Email) and then hit Next at the top right corner (Verify your card using the code sent to you)
Step five: Tap Done at the top right to complete the task. Once you are done, head back to the Wallet & Apple Pay screen and you should see your new card there.
